Sasha Banks made a triumphant return to WWE programming by turning heel and attacking the injured Natalya on the August 12 episode of Monday Night Raw.

When Becky Lynch ran down to the ring and attempted to prevent Banks from doing more damage to her SummerSlam opponent, “The Boss” grabbed a steel chair and repeatedly struck the Raw Women’s Champion across her back with the weapon.

As you can see from the 04:02 mark of the video below, Banks accidentally caught Lynch on the back of her head with a steel chair shot – something that is not allowed in WWE.

It was difficult to notice the mistake at the time because of the camera angle, but it is clear from the footage that Lynch held her head just before commentator Michael Cole described what he was witnessing as “a relentless attack”.

Never one to shy away from a few words on social media, Lynch has taken to Twitter to warn Banks that “receipts are coming” following her brutal steel chair attack on Raw.

Interestingly, her tweet also contains a three-second video which shows the exact moment where the former Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection member struck her across the back of her head with a chair.

Why did Sasha Banks target Becky Lynch?

We are yet to find out the storyline reason behind Sasha Banks’ attack on Becky Lynch, but many fans had predicted that we would see a rivalry between the two ‘Horsewomen’ following Lynch’s derogatory comments in an interview with Sky Sports before SummerSlam.

The WrestleMania 35 main-eventer mocked Banks’ inability to accept defeat and claimed she “cried like Ronda Rousey” after losing the Women’s Tag Team titles.

“If Sasha Banks could hack it and she didn’t just get her jacket – she’s off crying like Ronda Rousey – then I would love to face her. But, unfortunately, she couldn’t take losing. She lost the Tag Team Championship and she was gone.”
