WWE News: Becky Lynch finally comments on botched WrestleMania ending
What's the story?
The historic main event of WWE WrestleMania 35 didn't pan out the way it was intended as the finish was incredibly underwhelming, to say the least.
Despite having her shoulders up, Rousey fell victim to a three-count after getting caught in a crucifix pin at the hands of Becky Lynch.
Lynch commented on the finish and addressed Rousey's shoulders being up during the pinfall in an interview with WFAN.
In case you didn't know...
Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Ronda Rousey took center stage in the main event of what ended up being an arduously long PPV.
The fans at the MetLife arena were pretty lukewarm for a majority of the match, however, there were moments that got them to their feet.
The match itslef was poorly executed as there were many questionable spots that may not have gone according to plan.
Especially the finish, which has been a topic of great debate in the aftermath of the show. While there are sections that claim it was a botch, others are steadfast in their stand that it was part of Vince McMahon's plan.
However, the ending was disputable on many levels and has somewhat overshadowed Lynch's monumental victory.
The heart of the matter
While talking to WFAN, the new dual Women's Champion reacted to finish to her match as well as Rousey's noticeable displeasure.
Lynch fired back by saying, “Was she disputing anything? No, what can she say? She knew I beat her. Her ma was there. She was a little upset over all the things I said about (Ronda). I was like, ‘your daughter had it coming. Now get her out of here!’”
The Champ Champ isn't in the mood to entertain any excuses and will walk into Raw with both the titles in her possession.
What's next?
With Ronda Rousey potentially set to miss a year's action due to injury and other personal commitments, the stage is set for The Man to have a memorable reign, possibly with one unified championship title going forward.
Additionally, more details have emerged regarding the finish of the match as well as Rousey's next match.
