WWE News: Becky Lynch responds to Charlotte “re-injuring” her knee
What's the Story?
Becky Lynch responded to WWE sharing the news about her re-injuring her knee at the WWE Live Event this Saturday.
Despite her "never-ending knee issues," The Man vowed to fight back against The McMahons and not give up her fight for her WrestleMania match.
In Case You Didn't Know...
Lynch attacked Charlotte Flair during a SmackDown Live Event in Alexandria, Louisiana before Flair retaliated and started targeting Lynch's injured knee.
WWE officials came to separate the two, but Flair continued to attack Lynch's knee and hit her in the leg with a steel chair and did more damage before finally ending her assault.
The Heart of the Matter
After WWE shared the news that Lynch suffered another injury to her knee, The 2019 Royal Rumble winner responded via Twitter and vowed to keep fighting to be reinstated for her match against Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey.
Lynch's attack on Flair was due to Vince McMahon suspending Lynch for 60 days, taking her out of the WrestleMania match with Rousey, and replacing her with Flair.
This is also the second time that Flair attacked Lynch's leg, with the first time being on the SmackDown after the Royal Rumble when the two brawled before Flair kicked Lynch in her knee.
Flair and Lynch have been in conflict since SummerSlam 2018 when The Man lost her SmackDown Women's Championship match to Flair, who was added to the match only a few days before the pay-per-view.
Lynch won their feud after defeating her at Evolution, but the two resumed their feud after Survivor Series.
Neither woman is booked to wrestle at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, but a confrontation will be expected if Flair or Lynch appear on the show tonight.
What's Next?
WWE's upcoming pay-per-view, Fastlane, has advertised a match between Flair and Lynch that will more than likely be used to get Lynch back into the WrestleMania match with Rousey.
