WWE News: Becky Lynch returns to action in Detroit Live Event
What's the story?
Becky Lynch was written off of WWE television when the Riott Squad showed up and used her head as a doorstop. Truth be told, she had a movie to film because Lynch, The Miz, and Shawn Michaels were all enlisted to film the sixth instalment of The Marine franchise. But The Lass Kicker made her return to the ring in Detroit and she had more than a welcoming response.
In case you didn't know...
WWE Superstars aren't always injured when they take time away from the ring. With all of the other projects a WWE Superstar can be involved in, sometimes it's just easier to make it work for a story to write an injury into the storyline rather than come right out and say someone needs to take time off to film a movie. But whenever they come back, it's usually met with a positive response because after all, absence does make the heart grow fonder.
The heart of the matter
.Becky Lynch was actually backstage during SmackDown Live in Chicago but she didn't show up on television. However, she did make an appearance in Detroit to team up with Naomi to take on Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan of the Riott Squad.
Becky Lynch and Noami won their match giving The Lass Kicker a little piece of retribution in the process, but the story probably isn't over between Lynch and the Riott Squad.
What's next?
It's nice to see Becky Lynch back in action because, with the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble around the corner, she very well could be a top contender to win the big match in Philadelphia on January 28th.
Author's take
Whenever a WWE Superstar needs to take time away from the ring it always presents their character with the chance of coming back with a fresh perspective. Hopefully, Becky Lynch will be firing on all cylinders soon enough as she continues her popular run on SmackDown Live.
