WWE News: Betting odds for Universal Champion after WrestleMania 34 revealed
What’s the story?
As seen on Paddy Power, Roman Reigns is the overwhelming favourite to walk out of WWE WrestleMania 34 as the Universal Champion.
In case you didn’t know...
Reigns vs Lesnar 2 for the belt in New Orleans is a match that has been heavily rumoured for quite some time now, with fans already talking about Roman’s coronation as far back as Mania 33 in Orlando.
The heart of the matter
As you can see in the below tweet, Reigns is the odds-on favourite to be holding the Universal Championship up high when all is said and done at the Superdome. John Cena is the somewhat surprising second favourite with odds of 15/8, meanwhile, Brock Lesnar is down in third at 4/1.
Lesnar & Reigns have already faced off on the grandest stage of them all, with both men falling to Seth Rollins in the main event of WrestleMania 31.
What’s next?
With the Royal Rumble being less than a week away, the Universal Championship picture is set to become much clearer as we move towards WrestleMania season.
Author’s take
It’s no secret that most fans don’t want to see Roman in the main event of Mania for the fourth year in a row, but we’re still holding out hope that it’ll lead to an eventual heel turn in NOLA.
