WWE Rumours: Bevy of international talent being pursued by WWE
In order to fortify its roster, the WWE is expected to make several aggressive talent signings from various countries all over the globe, including Mexico, Japan and the UK in the upcoming few months.
There are reportedly looking at other Japanese wrestling organizations and are said to be interested in one top attraction from AAA and Lucha Underground. It is not known who that wrestler is, but he or she has most probably never been in a mainstream U.S. promotion before and is not pleased with the creative team of Lucha Underground.
WWE officials, especially the Chairman Vince McMahon is very much interested in bringing the current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, Kazuchika Okada in WWE. Okada’s height plays a factor behind this interest as well ( Okada’s billed height is 6 feet 3 inches). Okada has also performed in TNA in the years 2010 and 2011.
However, NJPW doesn’t want to lose Okada. They have offered him a handsome 5-year contract. It is unknown whether Okada has accepted it or not, though he says he will remain loyal to NJPW. It is believed that to prevent Okada from joining WWE, they may offer him more money.
