WWE News: Big heel turn to occur at WWE Roadblock?

Ric Flair congratulates Sasha Banks on her third title win

The feud between Sasha Banks and Charlotte has transpired throughout the entire year of 2016. From competing against each other, along with Becky Lynch, at WrestleMania 32, to being the first female wrestlers to headline a pay per view at Hell in a Cell, there have been many memorable matches in the feud. On the latest episode of Raw, yet another match occurred in this series.

This time, it was a Falls Count Anywhere match that was a restart from early in the program due to a double countout.

Yet again, Sasha Banks was able to best Charlotte by applying her Bank Statement finisher with the help of an aisle rail. This caused Charlotte to tap out and Sasha win her third Raw Women’s Championship in four months. After the match, the “Nature Boy” Ric Flair came out to the adulation of the “Flair Country” crowd and congratulate Sasha on her title win against his daughter.

While this was a feel-good moment to close Raw, it is not expected to last long. According to RingSideNews, the “dirtiest player in the game” will return to his old tactics and cause Sasha Banks the championship. This will lead to yet another title swap at the Roadblock: End of the Line pay per view.

Charlotte abandoned Ric Flair six months ago on Raw, and Dana Brooke soon became her lackey.

However, the two appear to be reuniting at the next pay per view event.

There is no doubt that Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte should be a candidate for the Feud of the Year. Both competitors have exhibited some of their best work since feuding against each other, and have certainly revolutionized the women’s division to a platform of main eventing a pay per view, as well as Raw many times. However, the biggest issue with this feud is the constant title swaps.

Granted, one of those title changes was due to the feeling of Sasha Banks having to be shelved for a considerable amount of time due to her back issues. She regained the title on Raw when she was cleared to return. Despite this, she lost the title in her hometown of Boston at Hell in a Cell. This was the most head-scratching title change of them all, and caused a great deal of confusion to why it happened.

If WWE continues to swap the title between the two, it would certainly dilute the prestige that both Sasha and Charlotte have worked hard to build for the women’s division throughout the year. Hopefully, there will be a new feud on the horizon for the both of them sooner than later.
