WWE News: Big Show hits gym, trains for in-ring return
What's the story?
Once upon a time, he received 'please retire' chants from the WWE Universe. At the age of 45, his series of matches with Braun Strowman received 'this is awesome' chants from the audience.
The Big Show may have undergone hip surgery recently, but he's hit the gym again and is training for an in-ring return, very soon. This is what he had to say:
In case you didn't know...
Big Show was written off TV following a brilliant clash between him and Braun Strowman inside a steel cage. The official reason for this is that he had to undergo hip surgery, but a beatdown from Braun Strowman following the match was shown to be the reason for Big Show being kept off television.
Much has been said about The Big Show being in the best shape of his life, at an age when most men hang their boots up for good.
The heart of the matter
Big Show seemed in high spirits as he addressed the WWE Universe from the gym, in a message on Instagram:
I'm in the gym, sweating, working hard. Trying to do my part. I appreciate everyone out there supporting me. Wishing me well.
The Big Show seemed motivated by the outpouring of support from the WWE Universe, who were behind him to do well and make a return.
A man who's not known to be the most motivated individual in the locker room at times, The Big Show has had a new lease on life in recent times.
What's next?
We're certain that The Big Show has yet another run in him. Maybe a very good one too. He could definitely put some new and up-and-coming talent over, and maybe even pick up a few victories when he comes back.
Author's take
I've been a Big Show fan since the 90s, and I've never seen him wrestle better than he is, at the moment. I'm certain that his next run will be a memorable one indeed. And also, that he will be a Hall of Famer when he does decide to hang up his boots for good.
