WWE News: Big Show returns to training after recent surgery
What's the story?
WWE veteran Big Show has been out of action since September last year as he required a hip surgery. We reported in February that the surgery had led to some complications, delaying The Giant's return. Now, Show has taken to social media to let the fans know that he is back in the gym once again.
In case you didn’t know…
Since the last few years, the WWE veteran has made only sporadic appearances in WWE, his last feud before the surgery being against The Monster Among Men Braun Strowman. Strowman and Big Show went head-to-head inside a Steel Cage, which Strowman won after throwing Show out through the cage.
After being written off TV in the above manner, Show underwent hip surgery for a nagging injury. While the surgery seemed to be successful initially, Show developed complications three weeks later due to an infection.
The heart of the matter
The complications from the surgery further delayed the former WWE Champion's return, as he couldn't start training again for quite a while.
However, it now looks like Show is recovering well as he took to his Instagram page to reveal that he was back in the gym and training once again. Show asserted in the caption that he was healing stronger than ever. You can see the post below:
What's next?
Back in January, Show revealed that he would be back in action around 6-8 months. It is not likely that he will return full-time though, as he has revealed he would like to take up more of a backstage role in the future.
Author's take
The Big Show has been an integral part of WWE ever since the Attitude Era and through the Ruthless Aggression Era, and is surely a future Hall of Famer. Here's wishing him a speedy recovery from all of us here at Sportskeeda.
