WWE News: Big Show undergoes successful surgery, returns to the gym

Hey, it's the Big Show gymming once more!
Does he have yet another run in him?

What's the story?

Big Show was written off TV following his massive clash against Braun Strowman last month, inside the confines of a cage, to undergo hip surgery. We are glad to report that he is back in the gym, and in all likelihood, is well on his way to recovery.

Big Show posted an image on his social media account that indicated that he was back in the gym only three weeks after he underwent surgery. He was flooded with messages commending his perseverance, shortly after the upload.

In case you didn't know...

The Big Show has been a constant feature in sports entertainment, ever since the days when he was known as The Giant in WCW. He's had a storied run in WWE as well, right from the Attitude Era to the current one.

After three titanic clashes against Braun Strowman, The Big Show looks like he's wrestling better than ever and seems to be in the shape of his life.

The heart of the matter

The Big Show seems like a new man, ever since he decided to hit the gym and shed weight. While he had been serenaded with 'Please Retire' chants until recently, his clashes against Braun Strowman have earned him 'This is Awesome' chants.

The man seems hungrier than ever to prove that he's in his prime and that he has at least another run in him.

What's next?

Because of the nature of the surgery, we are certain that we won't see him return to the ring almost immediately. Cageside Seats reports that he may well be back in action as early as 2018.

Author's take

We are certain that The Big Show has at least another massive run left in him, if not more. Most sports entertainers hang up their boots at the age of 45, especially if they've been in the business for an extended period of time, at the very highest level.

The traditional shelf life of a giant is also considered to not be very 'big', no pun intended. Despite the odds, The Big Show has discovered the perfect dance partner in Braun Strowman, and he seems like a new man since then. He's a surefire future WWE Hall of Famer.
