WWE News: Big update on Shane McMahon's SmackDown Live status
What's the story?
Last week, SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan announced that he would be teaming up with SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon to take on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 34. The WWE Universe speculated if McMahon would be able to compete following both a kayfabe attack and some real life complications.
It turns out that Shane McMahon will be making a return to SmackDown Live this week. We suppose he will be addressing his health and WrestleMania status upon his appearance.
In case you didn't know...
At Fastlane, we saw how Shane McMahon prevented both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn from becoming WWE Champions in the 6-Pack Challenge Main Event match. Following the same, the two heels launched a brutal attack on Shane McMahon, putting him on the sidelines.
Moreover, we learned that Shane McMahon was suffering from some real life complications as well. This was the WWE update:
Shane McMahon is currently recovering from acute diverticulitis and an umbilical hernia in a New York-area medical facility, WWE.com has learned.
Two weeks ago on SmackDown LIVE, McMahon announced he would be taking an indefinite leave of absence from his position as the blue brand’s Commissioner. Following that announcement, McMahon was brutally attacked by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. WWE medical staff initially diagnosed him with a laryngeal contusion and trapezius and rhomboid strains as a result of the beating.
The heart of the matter
One week removed from WrestleMania 34, we will find out if Shane McMahon is indeed fit to compete at the 'Show of Shows' or not. Things do look positive at this point, judging from the Tweet WWE put out.
Things should become much clearer on SmackDown Live when Shane McMahon finally addresses the WWE Universe. Daniel Bryan's huge return match is at stake, in this situation! One wonders what will become of the match if Shane McMahon is ruled out.

Author's take
I really do hope that Shane McMahon is fine, with regard to health. Nobody deserves to be on the bench during WrestleMania.
From a very selfish perspective, I want him to return at full health so that we can see Daniel Bryan in the ring again.
