WWE News: Black Panther's cast included former Cryme Tyme member Shad Gaspard
What's the story?
WWE Superstars often choose the silver screen as an alternate career option after a run with the company. The Rock, John Cena, Batista and Stone Cold have all seen some success at the Box Office.
The latest former WWE employee to be a part of Hollywood is Shad Gaspard. The former Cryme Tyme member is a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's latest record blockbuster, Black Panther, though in a smaller uncredited role.
Gaspard recently put up a video of himself in rehearsal on Instagram, doing stunts for Black Panther.
In case you didn't know...
Shad Gaspard and JTG were one of the more over-the-top tag teams in WWE, calling themselves Cryme Tyme and portraying Street Thugs. Though they were not successful in their chase for Tag Team gold in WWE, they were well known for their rivalries with Legacy and Hart Dynasty.
After they were split up, neither of them had successful singles runs, and Gaspard was released from the company in 2010. Gaspard has had parts in Hollywood movies, such as 'Get Hard', 'Brothers' and 'Bolden', just to name a few.
The heart of the matter
While he did not have a prominent role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster, Black Panther, Gaspar worked as a stuntman on the sets for the movie. He recently released two videos on Instagram, where he and another stuntman recreated the fight scene between the Jabari Tribe Leader, M'baku and the Black Panther, T'Challa. Gaspard portrayed M'baku in the video.

The video showed the former WWE star performing a series of stunts, making for an impressive watch.
What's next?
Since the Marvel Cinematic Universe is far from done with the Wakandan Empire, Gaspard may get an opportunity to be portrayed on screen. It was rumoured that he was to portray a character on Black Panther, but that did not materialize, and he was uncredited for his role in the movie. The movie remains listed on his IMDB profile.
Author's take
Gaspard's stunts were impressive, and the fight scene was engrossing. He may be the latest of the WWE talent, to possibly have a future in Hollywood.
