WWE News: Braun Strowman catches wild hogs
What's the story?
Braun Strowman is a big country boy at heart which is why he has "Country Strong" tattooed on the underside of his forearm.
It turns out you can take the Monster out of the country but you can't take the country out of the Monster as Braun Strowman recently went wild hog hunting and he bagged three of them.
In case you didn't know...
Everyone might know him as Braun Strowman, but his real name is Adam Scherr and he's a home-grown North Carolina boy at heart who happens to have travelled the world as a strongman and later a WWE Superstar.
But you can't keep Strowman out of the outdoors when he's not in the ring or the gym because he loves getting dirty no matter what he's doing.
The heart of the matter...
Even Strowman had to admit that this was a first for him, but "The Monster Among Men" helped out some farmer friends of his to take care of a few wild hogs that were messing up their property.
It looks like Strowman might have come up with a pretty good way to train for a big match too because he said these 200-pound animals put up a pretty big fight. They were all hogtied and relocated to a place where they hopefully won't cause as much damage. It's just a good thing none of them did any damage to Strowman in the process because that would have been a difficult thing to explain to Vince McMahon.
What's next
Braun Strowman said there was a huge rush of adrenaline while he was wrestling those beasts to the ground and getting them to their new home, but he also has plenty of adrenaline in the ring.
As The Royal Rumble approaches, it appears Braun Strowman will be placed with Kane against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title which will be a fun match, let's just hope it matches catching wild hogs for Braun Strowman.
Author's take
This kind of thing is the reason why people have gravitated toward Braun Strowman. Even through his thick exterior and giant menacing presence people could tell there's a good old boy inside just waiting to come out. That kind of personality trait might do him well in WWE just in case he ever starts to display something less "Monster-like."
