WWE News: Braun Strowman explains why he hasn't been booked to win the Universal title yet
WWE Superstar Braun Strowman recently spoke to The Gorilla Position and opened up on a bunch of wrestling topics. Strowman explained why WWE hasn't booked him to become Universal Champion yet, adding that his character doesn't need a title at this point in time.
Strowman's career so far
In 2015, Strowman debuted on WWE's main roster, attacking Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, and aligning himself with The Wyatt Family. At WrestleMania 32, Strowman and the rest of the family were taken down by The Rock and John Cena in a segment, which also saw The Rock defeat Rowan in a matter of seconds.
Strowman won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at this year's WrestleMania. The Monster Among Men has yet to win the Universal title. He faced Brock Lesnar at No Mercy 2017 with the title on the line, but failed to win the title.

Strowman also featured in a Fatal Four-Way Match for the Universal title at SummerSlam 2017, with Lesnar coming out victorious. Last year, Strowman faced Lesnar at Crown Jewel but lost the match after a pre-match attack by Baron Corbin.
Why Strowman has not won the Universal title yet?
Strowman stated that the authorities are not yet ready for him to become Universal Champion. He added that his character doesn't need it at this point.
The powers that be aren't ready for [me to be Universal Champion].One of the biggest things is that I'm running out of opponents; I've beat everybody. Where we're at right now, we're trying to get some other guys more established because, let's be for real, not everybody can match up to what I've done and what I'm capable of doing.
Honestly, as well, I don't feel like where I'm at with my character [gives him reason to] need a title.
Rumor currently has it that Strowman will face Universal Champion Seth Rollins at Clash of Champions on September 15.
