What’s the story?

So, one of the big stories heading into a star-studded WrestleMania this year was Braun Strowman and who he'd choose for his partner.

Well, The Monster Among Men made history when he won his first ever Championship in WWE alongside the youngest ever Champion in WWE - but Strowman has taken to social media to post about why WrestleMania was so special for him, speaking in a way we've never seen or heard Braun speak before!

In case you didn’t know...

While Strowman's photos from WrestleMania may be the first time anyone has seen The Monster Among Men's parents, it's a little-known fact that Braun’s dad is actually a legendary softball player.

Braun, real name Adam Scherr, made his name as a weightlifter and Strongman contest participant before WWE, but his dad had a name that may even put Braun to shame - going by Rick “Crusher” Scherr.

It is estimated that Crusher hit over 1,800 home runs in his lifetime, with many of those shots having the distance to clear any and all MLB stadiums. You can see a video on Scherr below.

The heart of the matter

Braun Strowman has taken to Instagram in a very non-Braun fashion over the past few days to share heartwarming posts about his parents being in the front row while he made history.

Still at a loss for words about #Wrestlemania and the fact that my mom and dad got to be ringside front row while I made history!!!!! I took this picture of them beside my ugly mug on our way out of the building because my mom freaked out when she saw it. #IAmTheLuckiestManInTheWorld #familyiseverything #MonsterAmongMomAndDad I can’t thank @wwe enough for what they have done for me and my family!!!!!

And, well, aside from Braun coming across like a huge babyface and a wonderfully humble man, one of the big talking points is his dad, the aforementioned Rick Scherr.

He is literally Braun Strowman, but slightly older. And from the post below, we can see where Strowman Junior got his moves from...

Words can not express what this picture means to me and what that moment meant. To have my mom and dad and one of my best friends ring side to see me take my first #Wrestlemania moment to date is the greatest things I’ve been able to do in my life!!!!! Thank you to all my fans that made this so special and thank you Nicolas for memories I will cherish for the rest of my life. #blessed #humble #greatful #ThankYou #wwe #braunstrowman #themonsteramongmen #ILoveMyJob #OneLuckyCountryBoy

What’s next?

Braun Strowman's star power just increases every day - and it's awesome getting to see this other side to The Monster Among Men.

While his only appearance on this week's stacked Raw was relinquishing the titles he won with ten-year-old Nicholas, later revealed to be the son of referee John Cone, you can expect a huge future for The Monster Among Men!

Author’s take

Well, this isn't the first time we've seen Braun reveal his more human side, Strowman recently visited Funko HQ and had a great time going down slides and meeting young fans.

While I originally wanted Strowman to be a monster heel, he really does play the giant, wrecking ball babyface character so well - and I hope WWE pushes him to the moon. He really could become the face of the company at this rate!
