WWE News: Braun Strowman releases statement on social media after his surgery
What’s the story?
Braun Strowman issued a statement regarding his surgery on his official Instagram account. The Monster Among Men addressed his elbow injury and surgical procedure whilst reassuring fans that he will not let this incident slow him down.
In case you didn’t know...
Strowman (Adam Scherr) began training for the sport of professional wrestling relatively late in his life, however, the 33-year old has quickly risen to prominence in the WWE since making his main roster debut as a new member of the Wyatt Family in 2015.
He gained notoriety as a singles competitor last year and is now considered one of the top stars of WWE’s flagship show Monday Night RAW.
The heart of the matter
Braun Strowman was most recently involved in a feud with Roman Reigns whom he defeated at WWE Payback a few days ago. However, the Monster Among Men and the Big Dog didn’t come out unscathed from their battle as both men suffered visible bruises following their match.
Strowman would come out worse off as he reportedly suffered an elbow injury that was later diagnosed to be much serious than what initially appeared. The former Wyatt Family member underwent surgery in Birmingham, Alabama and has now taken to social media to address his injury and surgical procedure.
Sometimes life throws you unexpected obstacles. Things will get in the way of your dreams they always do. How you handle your set backs is what makes the difference. I could sit around and think what could I have done to avoid this what did I do to deserve this. Y? Y? Y? I say to hell with that. There's no time for excuses and pity party's!!!! Every day Is a day I get the opportunity to grow stronger everyday I push myself further cause I refuse to let this slow me down. Nothing can stop me from being the best. I'll blow through this like I have every set back life has ever throw at me and continue to own my destiny!!!! This is my life and I tell what and when I'm gonna do things. #nothingcanstopme #unstoppable #braunstrowman #monsteramongmen

Author’s Take
For a man who has been practising his art for barely 3 years, Braun Strowman has shown incredible maturity in his ring-craft as of late.
His elbow injury is truly unfortunate and we, as fans, can do nothing more than pray for the talented powerhouse to make a quick and speedy recovery.
