WWE News: Braun Strowman and Elias to compete in Symphony of Destruction Match
What's the story?
Braun Strowman and Elias have had some chaotic encounters with musical instruments before, but their match on Monday Night Raw could be even more devastating.
WWE announced via Twitter that Strowman and Elias would compete in a Symphony of Destruction match.
In case you didn't know
Elias and Strowman's history as rivals began in the buildup to the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view when both men competed in a triple threat match with John Cena to determine who would enter the chamber match last.
Strowman had the match won, but Elias threw the 'Monster Among Men' out of the ring long enough to pin Cena for the victory.
The heart of the matter
WWE announcer Mike Romme offered no details regarding the Symphony of Destruction match and what it might entail, but the wordplay would suggest some form of No Disqualification match variant.
Elias and Strowman have both utilized musical instruments to attack each other, so the Symphony of Destruction match could be a Street Fight or Falls Count Anywhere match with musical instruments surrounding the ring.
Neither man has any known plans for WrestleMania 34 so this could hint at a potential match between the two at New Orleans, but that seems unlikely
Strowman is rumored to be in consideration for another match against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship should Roman Reigns be revealed to have violated the WWE Wellness Policy in the documentary by Jon Bravo.
What's next?
Elias has only gotten glimpses of Strowman's wrath, but tonight could be the final chapter in the feud between both men.
Most people are probably expecting Strowman to win and there's no reason to doubt that given what happened.
Author's take
Sounds like an interesting match. Hopefully, it delivers some much-needed excitement to the flagship show.
