What’s the story?

Bray Wyatt has taken to social media to react to reports about rumors regarding him turning heel on Matt Hardy very soon.

Apparently, Hardy got wind of the same, and reiterated that he and Wyatt are indeed set to change the industry again, together.

In case you didn’t know…

As noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the WWE plans to have Bray Wyatt betray Matt Hardy very soon, thereby ending what’s being touted as a brief alliance between the two former rivals.

After losing to Hardy in the Ultimate Deletion Match and being thrown into the Lake of Reincarnation, Wyatt reappeared on WWE TV programming at WrestleMania 34.

Wyatt helped Matt Hardy win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34, and the following night on RAW, teamed up with Hardy to defeat Apollo and Titus O-Neill.

The heart of the matter

Veteran professional wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), reported about a recent pitch that suggests an interesting storyline.

Bray Wyatt could betray Matt Hardy very soon, following which Wyatt could lead SAnitY (Eric Young, Killian Dain, Alexander Wolfe & Nikki Cross), as the NXT faction are due to receive a main-roster call-up anytime now.

Bray Wyatt addressed Meltzer’s report, and put forth a tweet tagging Meltzer and Hardy in it, which read as follows:

“@MATTHARDYBRAND, Who is this oracle @davemeltzerWON ??? And why does speak so poorly of me? My allegiance to #HouseHardy is true…As long as I stay away from the creature that lives in the lake...”

Furthermore, Hardy responded to Wyatt with a tweet of his own; which read as follows—

“I know, My COMPEER..We are DESTINED to change the Plane identified as WWE FOREVAH.. TOGETHER. Our INGENIOUS INSANITY shall IGNITE the INDUSTRY once AGEEN.”

What’s next?

The vast majority of professional wrestling experts believe that Bray Wyatt’s allegiance to Matt Hardy is set to be short-lived.

Besides, SAnitY’s NXT run seems to be coming to an end, as Killian Dain wrestled a match this Wednesday as part of the NXT TV tapings.

A dark match after the tapings saw Aleister Black defeat Eric Young, following which Black also beat down Dain and Alexander Wolfe.

Author’s take

Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy are excellent at handling their pro-wrestling personas—be it on-screen or on social media.

It’s great to see Wyatt & Hardy maintain kayfabe while furthering interest, teasing fans and experts alike, in their storyline.
