Bray Wyatt had one of the most impressive debuts in WWE history last night when the repackages Fiend character made his way to the ring for the first time and decimated Finn Balor.

One huge talking point, though, was indeed The Fiend's entrance. Among other nods to his previous character and even Alive In Chains, the demonic character debuted a remixed version of Live In Fear, Wyatt's old theme, by Code Orange - the band who also perform Aleister Black's theme music.

Well, Bray Wyatt has spoken out about the new theme tune, praising Code Orange for "successfully creating a soundtrack to the technicolor pit that is his mind" and giving them "big props".

Didn't Wyatt want Slipknot?

Yep, way back in May, Bray Wyatt had stated that he was trying to convince Corey Taylor to allow him to use Slipknot's Unsainted for his entrance music, but that didn't work out. Who knows why, but a remix of Wyatt's old song works on so many levels, and the Code Orange version provides a new dimension to the character.

Why did Code Orange not record a new song?

Well, it was shown last night via The Fiend's entrance that WWE wants to link up the character to Bray Wyatt's previous persona, or at least keep an element of nostalgia there and immediately hook the WWE Universe - not that everyone wasn't already sold on The Fiend.

I unearthed some old footage earlier where Bray Wyatt describes The Fiend back in 2015 in a rare WWE promo, and of course, the entrance had several hidden gems - including the nod to the old music, a Bray Wyatt Lantern and even the Fireflies, so maybe this was just one more way to do it! Needless to say, it works.
