WWE News: Bray Wyatt returns at live event
What's the story?
The former WWE Champion has been noticeably absent from television for months now, but with a recent appearance at a house show, Bray Wyatt may be ready for his TV return.
In case you didn't know...
Bray Wyatt has been away from WWE TV since August after his partnership with Woken Matt Hardy ended. With a career-threatening situation taking Hardy away from the ring, Wyatt was kept away from Monday Night Raw. Though he's made various appearances at house shows since then, we've yet to see a hint of him making a return to TV.
Wyatt has also been busy leaving mysterious messages on his Twitter account, leaving his fans and various sites questioning what his future holds in 2019. However, with his most recent appearance, it at least looks like he'll be sticking with the WWE.
The heart of the matter
PWInsider revealed that Bray Wyatt competed at tonight's live event in Columbus, Ohio. The Eater of Worlds faced off against Baron Corbin, defeating the Lone Wolf in a No Disqualification match. Corbin had been facing off against John Cena at recent shows, but it now looks like the 16-time champion will be working strictly SmackDown events throughout the rest of the tour.
What's next?
Bray Wyatt, regardless of how he's been used, has always been a huge hit with fans, and with so much time away, the WWE Universe is sure to explode when he returns. The Leader of the Fireflies could very well come back to Monday Night Raw refreshed and ready for another run at the top of the card. With the Royal Rumble taking place a month from now, it would only make sense to have Wyatt return before or at the event.
