What's the story?
WWE Superstar Brie Bella recently participated in an interview with the Belfast Telegraph, wherein she spoke on a variety of topics, most notably, WWE signing women wrestlers from India & The Middle East, and on the possibility of women main-eventing WrestleMania.
In case you didn't know...
The former Divas Champion has been away from the squared-circle since her pre-show match at WrestleMania 32. Six days later after 'Mania, Brie announced that she was officially taking time off the ring to focus on her family life, but would continue working for the WWE as their ambassador.
The heart of the matter
On being asked to share her opinions about WWE signing female wrestlers from India & The Middle East, The Bella Twin opined that,
"I think it's incredible. I just love when you see how the world is becoming more open, and you're seeing women in WWE especially breaking these barriers. We're literally witnessing history. It's open to any country in the world to now be a part of WWE."
Later, while speaking on WWE opening its doors for female wrestlers all around the world, Brie said that it's great to see women in the WWE breaking barriers and creating history. Brie said that there was a huge possibility of women main-eventing 'Mania in the future. She further added that at some point in the future, 'Mania won't even be about the men & women, but only about the Superstar.'
What's next?
Brie Bella, who's been desiring to get back in the ring, recently revealed during a Q&A on the Total Bellas YouTube Channel, that post-pregnancy, she's been training to get back into shape, and is targetting to get into a WWE ring by 2018.
Also, the afore-mentioned Indian & Middle Eastern Signees, Kavita Devi & Shadia Bseiso, will begin their training at WWE's Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, from January 2018.
Author's take
It's great to see a veteran like Brie Bella be super-supportive of WWE's expansion programmes. Also, it's a joy for us to see Kavita Devi live her dream and represent our country by working in the WWE. We hope that she hones her craft and brings the Women's Title home.
