WWE News: "Broken" Matt Hardy teases WWE return

Is “Broken” Matt Hardy going to WWE?

“Broken” Matt Hardy has undoubtedly been the biggest draw in TNA in recent months. His transition from “Big Money” Matt Hardy to “Broken” Matt Hardy has made him nothing short of iconic. For the first time in their careers, Matt Hardy is the more popular of the two brothers. Matt is constantly in character and has been generating buzz through comedic gold. In fact, his character caught fire to such an extent that he naturally turned babyface on TNA television.

The fact that WWE created their own rendition of The Final Deletion says a lot about the impact that it really had. Also, Matt has had far more creative control over his character at TNA. There has also been rumours that WWE has been interested in signing Matt Hardy. With the buzz about TNA’s sale, “Broken” Matt Hardy took to twitter to tease a return to his former employer:

It is highly possible that Hardy may just be trying to generate more buzz about himself. He had recently done an interview (again, in character) with Sports Illustrated, where he was asked about his future in TNA and a possible return to WWE, and he said:

I am very content at Impact Wrestling. I don’t know if I trust that Meekmahan, or if he’ll try to stifle my broken brilliance. I’m able to live in my broken universe here at Impact Wrestling to the fullest extent, and Impact Wrestling needs me as their savior, so I’ll do everything I can to help them grow.

Jeff Hardy was asked the same and said that he did not want to go to WWE and be burned out in four to five months. He said that he wanted to have another run with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. However, Jeff has openly stated that he wants to end his career in WWE.

If the sale to WWE does indeed happen, there will be a select few talents who WWE will definitely look to acquire, such as EC3, Drew Galloway, Lashley, Mike Bennet and The Hardy Boyz. There is no doubt that there is a high chance of The Hardyz returning some day to WWE.
