WWE News: Bullet Club had a message for Finn Balor during their invasion of Raw
What's the story?
Members of the Bullet Club had a few messages for their friends and former Bullet Club members during their 'invasion' of Raw.
In case you didn't know....
Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson and Finn Balor were all former members of the Bullet Club, who had left to join the WWE.
Cody Rhodes, Hangman Page, The Young Bucks and Marty Scurll along with Brandi Rhodes all appeared outside the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario while Raw was going on and created quite a scene.
The scene was similar to when DX had invaded WCW in 1998 during the time of the Monday Night Wars.
The heart of the matter
The Bullet Club sent a message to Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson and Finn Balor, saying that they had come to 'rescue' them, reminiscent of DX in 1998 when they had invaded WCW.
WWE Raw was in progress when members of the Bullet Club 'invaded' Raw and made quite a scene outside.
Cody Rhodes made the whole Independence Day speech from memory much to the confusion and pleasure of the gathered crowd.
They made demands of WWE as well, saying that they wanted the use of Cody's full name back. Cody was unable to use his name, 'Cody Rhodes' outside WWE in wrestling due to them having trademarked it. The crowd and Marty Scurll made their displeasure apparent during the invasion.
Marty Scurll also performed a dive into the crowd outside for their entertainment.
What's next?
WWE is unlikely to acknowledge any of this happened, and they will continue on hoping that it fades away. The Bullet Club, on the other hand, will possibly integrate it into their storylines, as they have no qualms over mentioning WWE.
Author's take
The Bullet Club and the Young Bucks were not happy with WWE after they were served with the Cease and Desist letter in relation to using the "Suck It" gesture that was made famous by the DX.
This invasion will not please WWE officials at all, but they are unlikely to be able to do anything about it as they did not break any laws. This only increased the awareness among casual WWE fans about the existence of the Bullet Club, as many fans joined them outside during the course of a comparatively tame Post-No Mercy Raw.
