WWE News: John Cena wants to wrestle a bear
WWE Superstar John Cena spoke about his crazy intentions to wrestle a bear during an interview with GQ Magazine to promote his hosting of the ESPY Awards.
Cena seemed to be certain of his crazy desire and seemed more focused on it. "No matter what, I will wrestle that bear. It's just really forward in my mind right now. I think it's the right thing to do. If it doesn't happen at the ESPYs, it's going to happen somewhere,” he joked.
WWE has taken another step in extending their business signing a deal with the Boom! Studios to produce new graphic novels and comic books. But no dates of release are confirmed yet.
The Boom! Studios Editor-In-Chief Matt Gagnon spoke on behalf of the company stating, “Here at Boom! we're thrilled to be a part of WWE's return to the comic book medium."
"The WWE Universe is a passionate fanbase, and we aim to provide them with the comic series they've always wanted — a series featuring their favorite Superstars and storylines, a series that highlights the incredible history of the brand. An authentic series that matters," said Gagnon
This appears to be a new way where fans can have their favourite superstars in comic books involved in story lines and rivalries, hopefully producing some new content.
The WWE’s Executive Vice President of Consumer Products Casey Collins credited Boom! on being the fastest growing comic book publisher in the industry. He also stated that they are impressed by the level of creativity of the WWE and sure that it will win the hearts of the WWE Universe.
