Cesaro injury update: Former United States Champion is enjoying himself but is still unable to speak
What’s the story?
Cesaro seems to be well on the road to recovery as seen in a recent UpUpDownDown video, where the Swiss Superman was seen playing ‘Clash Royale’.
Although he was enjoying himself, Cesaro wasn't able to speak as his teeth were lodged into his upper jaw during the Bar's match against Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.
In case you didn’t know…
The 36-year-old suffered an injury during his recent match for the RAW Tag Team Championships at No Mercy, where he and Sheamus took on Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.
Cesaro took a huge bump at the hands of Ambrose and lost some of his front teeth after hitting the turnbuckle hard, But he continued nonetheless and took a Brogue Kick from Sheamus before the match ended.
The heart of the matter
The WWE recently revealed scary details regarding Cesaro’s mouth injury; explaining that his teeth were lodged into his upper jaw, incised about 3-4 mm, which is considerably painful to bear.
Regardless, the injury doesn’t seem to be stopping the Swiss Cyborg anytime soon, as he enjoyed himself playing the Clash Royale game in a video on the UpUpDownDown Youtube channel.
However, Cesaro seems to be having trouble speaking and moving his facial muscles since the injury requires extreme caution and care.
What’s next?
Reports suggest that Sheamus and Cesaro could join forces with The Miz to the face The Shield at the TLC pay-per-view. However, that is yet to be made official.
Author’s take
Cesaro is criminally underrated and just when you thought he was getting some wind in his sails, this unfortunate incident happened.
Regardless, as a longtime fan of the elite athlete, I hereby wish him the best of luck and a safe recovery.
