What’s the story?

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Cesaro opened up on a myriad of topics.

Most prominently, Cesaro spoke about wanting to capture a WWE world title. Besides, Cesaro also revealed his top three wrestlers right now; and discussed working with Sheamus.

In case you didn’t know…

Cesaro is widely regarded as one of the most athletic WWE Superstars today.

The Swiss Superman aka The Swiss Cyborg has been praised by both fans and experts alike, not only for his wrestling skills and athleticism but also for his ring psychology and ability to consistently deliver good performances.

The heart of the matter

On the topic of winning a world championship in the WWE, Cesaro stated—

"Of course, to be WWE world champion is definitely on my list. Anybody who is not reaching for that proverbial brass ring is doing something wrong if they're in the WWE."

Additionally, Cesaro revealed his top three wrestlers today—

"Sheamus, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns. That is not including myself or Dean Ambrose, who is hurt right now."

Furthermore, Cesaro explained that sometimes one gets in a frustrated mindset. However, working with Sheamus reminded him to enjoy the moment. Cesaro added that he’s a firm believer that one has to let things take their natural course and that as long as one works hard, good things will come.

Cesaro elucidated that his character is special, and he tries to make the most out of every single opportunity presented to him—always trying to push forward and push the envelope. Cesaro continued that it’s his aforementioned drive of never taking it easy and never taking a day off that makes his pairing with Sheamus—be it as a tag team partner or an opponent—so good.

What’s next?

The Bar (Cesaro & Sheamus) presently hold the WWE RAW Tag Team Championship.

The vast majority of professional wrestling industry experts believe that the WWE higher-ups are still high on Cesaro’s abilities as a top Superstar. However, no plans of a major push for the Swiss Superman seem to be on the cards for now.

Author’s take

Cesaro is without a doubt one of the most gifted athletes to have ever graced the squared circle. A few years ago, when Cesaro was paired with ‘The Advocate’ Paul Heyman, he was indeed set for a major push. Regardless, things didn’t pan out as planned, and Cesaro was relegated to the mid-card.

Here’s hoping this talented Superstar gets to accomplish his goal of winning the WWE Championship, the Universal title or both in the days to come.
