WWE News: Cesaro reveals the difference between singles and tag team wrestling and his current status with WWE
What’s the story?
Former Raw Tag Team Champion and one half of The Bar, Cesaro was recently a guest on 102.5 Hot Country KDY to promote his recent show in West Plains. During his interview, Cesaro discussed the difference between a tag team wrestler and a singles wrestler, and his status with the WWE.
In case you didn’t know…
Throughout the years, Cesaro has proved himself to be one of the most phenomenal in-ring workers to step foot into the WWE and during his stint with the WWE so far, The Swiss Superman has been seen forming alliances with the likes of Jack Swagger, Tyson Kidd, and his current tag team partner Sheamus.
The duo of Sheamus and Cesaro first started out as one of the most unlikely tag teams in the entire WWE. However, The Bar has shown tremendous in-ring chemistry with each other so far and have also captured the Raw Tag Team Titles on three different occasions.
The heart of the matter
According to Cesaro, there is a huge difference between being a singles star and being part of a tag team. Cesaro believes that as a singles superstar, a wrestler is capable of utilizing his or her own bag of tricks during a match. However, The Swiss Superman thinks that in a tag team match a superstar needs to have the ability to understand his or her tag team partner, and has to have the perfect in-ring chemistry with his teammate as well.
“By yourself, you can do whatever you want. But if you have somebody or a partner that you have to do that with, you have to have chemistry, you have to understand each other, you have to be on the same page, and you have to get along."
Additionally, the former United States Champion said that he tries to think day by day and always tries to enjoy the moment that he lives in. Furthermore, Cesaro claimed that he is in great shape, and another goal in his life is to always be in good shape.
“As long as I'm having fun, I'll keep doing it.", Cesaro added, when asked about his future in wrestling.
What’s next?
As for Cesaro—and his tag team partner Sheamus—their next goal is to regain the Raw Tag Team Championships from Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins at the upcoming Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
Author’s take
As mentioned above, Cesaro is by far one of the best in-ring performers in the WWE today, and the former Andre the Giant Battle Royal winner is equally good during tag team action as well.
