WWE News: Cesaro wants fans who bring beach balls to WWE events banned for life
What's the story?
Wrestling Inc. is reporting on an interview that one-half of the WWE Raw Tag Team Champions had with The City Pages in Minneapolis, Minnesota to promote an upcoming WWE Live event.
The infamous topic of beach balls came up, and Cesaro would love to see harsh penalties for anyone caught bringing a beach ball into a WWE arena.
In case you didn't know...
Cesaro made a name for himself in Ring Of Honor before joining the WWE under his real name, Claudio Castagnoli.
He would win the ROH World Tag Team Championships on two occasions with Chris Hero, who is known as Kassius Ohno in NXT today.
The heart of the matter...
Cesaro gained even more fame at SummerSlam last year when he jumped the guardrail so he could intercept and destroy a beach ball.
While some may think it's fun to toss around a beach ball during a WWE event, it's very disrespectful to the wrestlers, and annoying for the fans trying to enjoy the show too.
Cesaro would say the following about what he did at SummerSlam in his interview. Take a look at the quote below:
"Excuse my language, but fudge beach balls. Seriously. That's absolutely disrespectful. We were wrestling for the Tag Team Championships, and you want to play with a beach ball? Get the hell out of here. Go. Leave the arena, and don't come back. I think every person that brings a beach ball into a WWE arena should get ejected for life."
A couple of months after SummerSlam, Cesaro and Xavier Woods were going to square off in video game competition for IGN. Someone thought it was funny if they brought a beach ball to the event:
What's next?
After defeating The Revival on this week's Raw, The Bar claims there is no one left to challenge them for WrestleMania; however, there are rumors circling that a new team will rise up to challenge them in the coming weeks.
It is unknown if it will be a team from NXT or two current WWE Superstars coming together to challenge them.
Author's take...
I completely endorse Cesaro's statement of banning these fools for life if they bring a beach ball into a WWE arena.
There is nothing more annoying when trying to watch a wrestling match than people caring about a beach ball being batted around and then, even worse, starting chants about the beach ball.
It was cute at first the night after a recent WrestleMania when it happened the first time, now it is just annoying and thankfully security tries their best to stop them before they start.
