WWE News: Charlotte Flair on who she wants to main event WrestleMania with
What’s the story?
WWE Smackdown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair recently took part in an interview with Planeta Wrestling, where she discussed a number of topics, including who she would like to face in the main event of WrestleMania.
In case you didn’t know...
During another recent interview, Charlotte was asked about possibly facing Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania, to which she replied, "She has to pay her dues first to face me!"
Plans for Charlotte at WrestleMania were going back and forth for a while before Asuka was decided as her challenger, not long after the Royal Rumble.
The heart of the matter
While speaking with Planeta Wrestling, Charlotte talked on a number of subjects, including next week's WrestleMania and future WrestleMania events. Charlotte was asked who she would want to face if she were in the main event match at WrestleMania, to which she replied:
"If this wasn't the main event, me vs. Asuka, I would definitely say a Fatal 4-Way against the Four-Horsewomen."
Charlotte is, of course, referring to her vs. Sasha Banks, Bayley and Becky Lynch. Charlotte also talked about how her father, Ric Flair, still gives her advice every day, being complemented by Jim Ross calling her 'the Hulk Hogan of women's wrestling', and WrestleMania next Sunday.
What’s next?
WrestleMania 34 takes place next Sunday on April 8, at the Mercedez-Benz Superdome, in New Orleans.
Charlotte will be defending her Smackdown's Women's Championship against the undefeated Asuka.
Author’s take
Charlotte's dream WrestleMania Fatal Four Way main event would be a cracker of a match for sure. While it may have been Paige and Emma who made women's wrestling in NXT great, it was these four ladies who brought the viewership over for women's wrestling because they are that damn good. We have yet to see this match on TV, so hopefully we will one day and hopefully, that will be a WrestleMania.
