WWE News: Chris Jericho hits back at Conor McGregor's comments regarding the WWE
As we reported yesterday, Conor McGregor took a shot at the WWE roster and at Brock Lesnar following his doping scandal following UFC 200. However, McGregor did talk about his respect for Vince McMahon, The Rock and Triple H.
A number of WWE Superstars have already replied to McGregor's comments, the most noteworthy of the bunch being Chris Jericho's after a fan asked him about the comments on Twitter. Jericho replied in typical Jericho fashion claiming that he had never even heard of Conor McGregor.
Never heard of him. https://t.co/uYFFbp25bK

Some people are saying that McGregor’s statements might be part of a future WWE storyline but that’s highly unlikely.
Jericho has a history of hitting back at people who disparage pro wrestling and look down upon it. He said the following in response to UFC commentator Joe Rogan after Rogan spoke really negatively about pro wrestling on a podcast.
“I spent some time trying to figure out a really cool tweet to hit him back with, then I thought ‘I don’t wanna start a war with this.’ He said that wrestling was fake and people are stupid if they like it. It’s a stupid statement to make because he’s in entertainment — he’s a stand-up comic — he also does MMA stuff so he knows what this is.”
