In case you didn't know...

Chris Jericho might e one of the top stars in wrestling today but the former 9-time WWE Intercontinental Champion is also the founder of the popular metal band Fozzy. The heavy-metal band was first formed in 1999 by lead singer Jericho and guitarist Rich Ward.

Chris Jericho has also distinguished the band by saying: "If Metallica and Journey had a bastard child, it would be Fozzy."

The heart of the matter

Fozzy's frontman Chris Jericho himself has tweeted out on the social media stating that he and his fellow band mates will begin their next tour in 28th of February in 2018, in New Orleans.

Fozzy themselves has also announced that their upcoming tour will witness them visit 25 different cities all over the US, with their final concert set to take place in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire on 8th April 2017, which is also the very same day as Wrestlemania 34.

With Fozzy set to take over New Hampshire come 8th April, it also means that Chris Jericho will not be a part of next year's Wrestlemania event and will miss WWE's biggest pay-per-view for the first time since 2015.

What's next?

Chris Jericho might not be a part of next year's Wrestlemania but he is all set to wrestle at NJPW's biggest annual event next year,i.e, the Wrestle Kingdom 12 show which takes place at the Tokyo Dome on January 4th, 2018.

Jericho will go toe-to-toe with his fellow Winnipeg native and current IWGP US Champion Kenny Omega as the two men are set to do battle over the US Title in front of a record-setting crowd at next year's WK event.

Author's take

Chris Jericho's omission from the Wrestlemania card will surely be a huge miss and it is still weird to think that the former WWE World Champion is all set to wrestle for Japan's biggest promotion instead of wrestling under Vince McMahon's company and is going to miss out on the grandest event of the WWE calendar.
