WWE News: Chris Jericho takes shots at Nakamura on Twitter, teases huge match in Japan
Aspiring to recreate last year’s “Beast in the East”, WWE will be returning to Tokyo, Japan in July. The officials are keen on having Chris Jericho vs Shinsuke Nakamura at the event. It is not confirmed whether the event will be another WWE Network exclusive or not, but they have two shows scheduled for Sumo Hall.
Since becoming a heel once again, Chris Jericho’s twitter timeline has been extra entertaining. Some of his latest tweets were directed towards Shinsuke Nakamura. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that this Twitter exchange may be a slow build-up towards their possible match at the Japan tour. Nakamura is not scheduled to be on NXT for long and Jericho may be his first rival after debuting on the main roster.
It is uncanny how Chris Jericho’s voice plays in your head even when reading his tweets. Boy got skills:
Nakamura means nothing. He’s a minor league Jericho wannabe. https://t.co/zpuHBsBX3a
