WWE News: CM Punk reveals what it would take for him to return to wrestling
What's the story?
A CM Punk return to the WWE - this is a story that will keep doing the rounds in wrestling news and rumors sites, and is eagerly awaited by the WWE Universe, although it is highly unlikely to happen.
Punk was recently on the Primetime special of WGN Morning News, where he had a hilarious reply as to what it would take for him to return to wrestling.
In case you didn't know...
It seems that the WWE Universe still loves Punk and want to see him return back to the ring, which was on evidence at the SD1000 show where CM Punk chants went around the ring when Shane McMahon was hyping the WWE World Cup tournament at Crown Jewel.
Following his brief UFC career, Punk announced that he will be a commentator for Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC), with his first event on December 14, 2018.
The heart of the matter
Punk was making an appearance at Chicago's WGN Morning News show when he said that a time machine would be needed for him to get back in the ring, wrestling. Punk last wrestled in the WWE back in 2014, while his last UFC match was against Mike Jackson earlier this year.
Punk also won a Divvy bike on the show, which is a bicycle-sharing platform, in Chicago!
Punk seems to have walked away from pro wrestling for good and we will most likely see him only near an MMA ring, albeit in the commentary booth.
What's next?
The former WWE Superstar is not returning to the ring anytime soon and it looks like he will probably move into a commentary role in MMA which would suit him well considering the great promos he delivered during his hugely successful spell with the WWE.
