WWE News: Cody Rhodes clears the air about being released by the WWE
Former WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes was the guest on the first episode of The Ric Flair Show, a new podcast hosted by the WWE Hall of Famer. Thanks to wrestlinginc.com we have some of the highlights from the interview.
Most notably Rhodes cleared the air about a wild rumor which is spread by fans saying that his WWE departure was a hoax by WWE so he could drop the Stardust character and come back as Cody Rhodes.
Rhodes said that there was no truth in this rumor and the only talk he had with WWE officials before leaving was about his dad, Dusty Rhodes' book. He also noted that he is glad that they granted Cody the rights to the book.
Additionally, Rhodes said that the biggest motivation behind his WWE departure is the fact that he wants to prove himself. The former intercontinental champion also talked about Dolph Ziggler saying that he is often overlooked by people due to the fact that he is relatively smaller in size than other wrestlers like Brock Lesnar.
It's notable here that Cody left WWE back in May and has been working as an independent agent ever since. He also recently launched his own T-Shirt designed by a marvel comic artist.
The Wrestling Observer reports that Cody might have had talks with Ring Of Honor and the possibility of him showing up there shouldn’t be discounted
