WWE News: Cruiserweight division reacts to Enzo Amore's title win
What's the story?
As seen on No Mercy last night, Enzo Amore defeated Neville to become the new WWE Cruiserweight champion. Enzo did cheat in order to win which would, of course, leave Neville upset with the end result, but he is not the only one. Almost every superstar in the Cruiserweight division has taken to Twitter to voice their opinion.
In case you didn't know...
It has been reported for months now that Enzo Amore has backstage heat and most of it seems to be from the wrestlers. There was a story that he was thrown off the tour bus by Roman Reigns which was confirmed by Corey Graves on an edition of "Bring it to the Table".
A common complaint seems to be that the Enzo we see on tv is the same man when the cameras are off, and he reportedly had a habit for bragging about his lifestyle. Enzo seems to rub most in the locker room the wrong way; in fact, The Miz — who was hardly the most popular man on the roster during the first few years of his WWE career — even went out of his way to point this out on a recent episode of RAW.
The heart of the matter
Backstage heat aside, another common complaint regarding Enzo has been that despite how talented he is on the microphone, he is not very good in the ring and has not shown much improvement in his time with the company.
On the other hand, Neville is regarded as one of the best in the world. A staple of the current cruiserweight division has been amazing wrestling from some of the best wrestlers in the world, which was established during the Cruiserweight Classic tournament.
Many of the superstars in that very tournament, including its winner TJP are not very happy about the new champion and made that clear on twitter.

What's next?
Enzo Amore won the title from Neville through nefarious means, so expect the English Superstar to utilise his re-match clause and get a hold of the Smacktalker Skywalker. There could even be a potential heel turn in Amore's future.
Author's take
It should also be noted that since the title change, the hashtag #SaveUsCedric has picked up a lot of steam in reference to Cedric Alexander. Cedric has been one of my favourites for a long time now and I think it is a crime he hasn't been put in a position to challenge for the strap yet.
I agree with the majority that this is a slap in the face of the cruiserweight division and all who are a part of it. The talent is just too deep for someone without a finishing move to be the champion. With that said and as strange as this sounds, I think WWE is committed to destroying the popularity of Enzo Amore and making him the champ will continue to turn fans against him.
He has already resorted to cheating in every match including his title win. As soon as he loses his popularity, he will lose his leverage. All of this may seem very cut-throat on the surface, but such is life in the professional wrestling business.
