WWE News: Dana White reveals text messages he received from Vince McMahon

What kind

What kind of things are they saying to each other?

What's the story?

There are a couple people in the UFC that Vince McMahon and Company wouldn't mind having on their roster. There were rumors recently saying WWE had been in talks with Conor McGregor about a possible WrestleMania appearance.

But UFC President Dana White recently spoke to The UK Sun where he not only dispelled those rumors, but White also took a bit further when he revealed actual text messages he had received from Vince McMahon.

In case you didn't know...

Vince McMahon is a brilliant pro wrestling promotor and understands the value of cross-promotion. One name Vince McMahon and Company wouldn't mind having come in for a program is Conor McGregor, but from the sounds of things, it doesn't sound like that will happen anytime soon.

The heart of the matter

Dana White spoke quite candidly to The UK Sun where he simply said "it's not true. It's absolutely not true" concerning McGregor's possible involvement in a WrestleMania moment.

Then the UFC President revealed how Vince McMahon had actually texted him five minutes before going on air for the interview. White said how McMahon told him that McGregor appearing at WrestleMania was "news to me" but also added,"it might be good someday but not now."

What's next?

WWE will surely put on a grand spectacle with WrestleMania 34. The New Orleans Superdome will once again play host to some of the most important pro wrestling action in North America.

But there's probably a good chance Conor McGregor won't be there.

Author's take

Ronda Rousey's involvement in WrestleMania 34 is an entirely different story. She's currently training and Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter how all four members of Rousey's Horsewomen are currently training in the art of pro wrestling as well.

As time goes on fans might see Conor McGregor step in a WWE ring for some kind of angle. But it doesn't look like Dana White will be allowing his golden goose to fly into WWE territory in the foreseeable future.
