WWE News:  Daniel Bryan reacts to Kurt Angle wrestling at WWE TLC

If only
If only Daniel Bryan could get medically cleared for this dream match to happen...

What's the story?

The WWE shocked the world Friday afternoon when they announced some major changes to the WWE Tables Ladders & Chairs pay per view for Sunday due to illness. Raw General Manager Kurt Angle will take the place of Roman Reigns in the 3-on-5 handicap TLC match which will main event the show.

Angle's counterpart, SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan, would respond on Twitter with the following:

In case you didn't know...

Kurt Angle last appeared in a WWE in 2006 when the rebooted ECW brand was on Syfy. His last match was against ECW legend Sabu before he left the WWE and headed to Impact Wrestling.

The heart of the matter

The thinking emoji is definitely the most interesting part about Daniel Bryan's tweet. We all know that Bryan would love to get back in the ring, but has not been cleared by the WWE Medical staff to this point.

Considering the trouble that Bryan has brewing with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn on SmackDown Live, maybe there is a surprise in store for the WWE Universe and Bryan gets cleared to take on his current enemies.

It's a long shot and a lot of speculation with one emoji, but one has to wonder.

What's next?

Tables Ladders & Chairs takes place in less than 24 hours from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota headlined by the previously mentioned 3-on-5 handicap TLC match, plus the main roster debut of Asuka.

Bray Wyatt is also out of TLC due to illness, in his place will be SmackDown Live's AJ Styles taking on Finn Balor in a battle of former Bullet Club leaders.

Author's take

Am I reading too much into one emoji? Probably, but I always hold out hope that Daniel Bryan can return to a WWE ring sometime down the road.

Either way, the last-minute changes to TLC have made this Sunday's PPV very interesting. I cannot wait to see Kurt Angle in a WWE ring once again. It's been a long 11-year wait!
