WWE News: Daniel Bryan teases heel turn

What will he have to say to Shane?
What will he have to say to Shane?

What’s the story?

Daniel Bryan told Shane McMahon on this week's SmackDown that both men needed to discuss some things further following the Survivor Series pay-per-view which could have some implications for SmackDown going forward.

In case you didn’t know...

McMahon led the charge of SmackDown superstars invading Monday Night Raw following the TLC pay-per-view and Bryan expressed concern the next night on SmackDown and showed signs of tension between the two.

Bryan attempted to go to Raw and talk the issues out, but was attacked by Kane during the show and did not return to television until tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live.

The heart of the matter

Bryan kicked off the show hyping the SmackDown superstars and supporters of the Survivor Series pay-per-view this Sunday and parodied Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman while welcoming AJ Styles as the new WWE Champion.

Later on, Bryan was approached by McMahon backstage, who thanked Bryan for coming back and for his support of SmackDown heading into Survivor Series.

McMahon went on to say that he was stressing to the SmackDown superstars that the key to emerging from Survivor Series victoriously was “cohesion,” but this prompted Bryan to inform Shane that the two needed to talk about being a cohesive unit once the pay-per-view was over.

The main issue Bryan was stressing was the fact that McMahon never consulted him over the invasion which lead to Bryan heading to Raw and getting attacked by Kane. McMahon attempted to explain himself, but Bryan cut him off and told him he’ll see him at Survivor Series.

What’s next?

With Bryan in full support of SmackDown Live, there’s no telling what next week’s confrontation with Shane McMahon will be about.

The next pay-per-view after Survivor Series will be the SmackDown exclusive show Clash of Champions, so any issues the two may air on the SmackDown after Survivor Series could be resolved there.

Author’s Take

Bryan rarely has problems with the way Shane operates, so next week will make for an interesting show.
