WWE News: Darren Young shows off new physique
What’s the story?
WWE Superstar Darren Young has shown off his new physique on Twitter. Young, who hasn’t been on WWE television for quite some time now, was last seen doing the “Make Darren Young Great Again” gimmick alongside Bob Backlund.

In case you didn’t know...
Young has been out of action since January after suffering a dislocated, hyperextended and broken elbow on the January 16th edition of WWE Main Event. During his last run on the main roster, his latest gimmick alongside Backlund seemed to be running out of steam, with many people being torn as to whether or not the Hall of Famer was adding much to Darren’s character.
The heart of the matter
Young has shown the progress that he’s made in terms of his physique over the last three months. While many fans are sceptical about this kind of thing after the recent rumours surrounding Jinder Mahal, you can tell that Young has fought tooth and nail to try and get back into a position of health and happiness.

What’s next?
There’s been no word as of yet when it comes to when Young will return, however, given the depth of talent on the main roster right now we can’t imagine that the company will put too much stock into him as a character. That said, he was getting significant time during his run with Backlund so there’s a chance that he could be featured as a prominent mid carder moving forward.
Author’s take
Young has always been an underrated talent in the ring, and it’s a shame that he’s never really been able to thrive on his own. Still, the Make Darren Young Great Again persona certainly helped him out, but it’d be much better for him to return as a heel. If that doesn’t come to fruition, he could always join back up with Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews.
