In case you didn't know...
The Revival have not had the best luck since coming to the main roster. One of the top NXT tag teams, their main roster run has been ruined by extremely badly timed injuries. On top of that, when they finally made it onto television, the authorities seemed determined to bury them.
They did not help their cause by uttering the forbidden 'wrestler' word live on television, attracting the ire of Vince McMahon.
However, the moment it appeared that they were finally going to leave WWE according to the rumours, the Revival were put in the RAW Tag Team Championships picture. Not only were they given a run for the titles, they actually won the Championships.
This led to further rumours that WWE was pushing them, so as to prevent them from leaving the company.
The heart of the matter
Dash Wilder spoke about the rumours that have been circulating in the WWE with regards to them for a while now.
Wilder said that while he was not willing to comment on the fact of the reports too much, he felt that the actual situation did not translate well when it was reported. They said that most of the things that got out were taken out of context and as a result was not quite what it seemed. He said that they used it and had fun with the Internet when the reports came out.
"Hmm, I won’t touch on it too much, but what I will say is that it was lost in translation. There were some things that got out there that I don’t think people knew the full story about. I don’t think it aggravated us, it kind of gave us… again, we like to be angry. We like to be mad at things and have something to fight for. So that gave us more fuel for the fire and we were like… ‘we’ll have fun with the internet over that, as they don’t know what’s what, so we’re not going to tell them otherwise." - The Mirror
