The Superstar Shakeup starts next week

What's the story?

WWE announced tonight on the first Raw after WrestleMania, that the Superstar Shakeup will start next week on Monday Night Raw.

In case you didn't know...

The WWE brand split on pay-per-view has now ended, and it seems that the Superstar Shakeup will start the beginning of a new era in WWE.

The last Superstar Shakeup took place last year following WrestleMania and saw a number of stars switch brands including Dean Ambrose, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and The Miz.

The Superstar Shakeup is like a mini draft, and it seems that it could create a number of new feuds moving into the first dual-brand Backlash event.

The heart of the matter

WWE announced this week on Monday Night Raw that the second annual Superstar Shakeup will begin next week on Raw, and seemingly conclude on SmackDown the following night.

There have already been a number of names rumored to be switching brands, but nothing is certain until the day of the shake-up.

The likes of Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns have been rumored to be heading over to SmackDown whilst AJ Styles and Jinder Mahal could be going the other way.

What's next?

The second Superstar Shakeup is set to take place on Monday, April 19th on Raw and conclude on SmackDown Live on Tuesday night.

Author's take

The Superstar Shakeup has been hinted for a number of weeks, and it seems that the company wants to switch up the rosters in time for Backlash.

One of the biggest rumors is that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn could be heading to Raw since they were unsuccessful in getting their jobs back at WrestleMania, which would definitely be interesting.
