WWE News: Dean Ambrose demolished on his last ever match for WWE
What's the story?
Dean Ambrose's WWE status has been up in the air since it was announced that he wasn't renewing his WWE contract in January. However on the post-WrestleMania Monday Night Raw it appears that 'The Lunatic Fringe' wrestled his last ever match for the WWE, and it didn't go well.
In case you didn't know...
Ambrose did not wrestle at all at WrestleMania 35, his last match before that taking place at WWE Fastlane alongside Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns in what was billed as the last ever Shield reunion against Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin.
Previously to this, and previous to Roman Reigns' return from cancer, Dean Ambrose had turned heel and was embroiled in a feud with Seth Rollins after 'The Lunatic' attacked him on the night Reigns announced his illness had returned.
The heart of the matter
Ambrose's last match in the WWE was against Bobby Lashley, who was still furious after losing the Intercontinental Title. However, Lashley was all jokes before the match had officially began, telling Ambrose he would 'take care of his wife'.
Naturally, Dean Ambrose did not take kindly to Lashley's remarks and we saw the true 'Lunatic' in action as he flew into a fury and annihilated the 'Almighty' Bobby Lashley.
Unfortunately, Lio Rush got involved and provided enough of a distraction to allow Lashley to recover and hit Ambrose with a spear. Lashley then proceeded to demolish Ambrose and slam him through the announce table.
It was then announced that Dean Ambrose was being tended to be medical professionals backstage, with the possibility of WWE running an injury angle to write Ambrose off of television seeming likely.
What's next?
We'll be sure to keep everyone posted about the condition of Dean Ambrose following Lashley's brutal attack.
