WWE News: Dean Ambrose getting lot of backstage heat over Stone Cold interview

The Lunatic Fringe had a rocket strapped on to him after Wrestlemania

With Seth Rollins winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 31, and Roman Reigns evidently getting a major push and destined for a Wrestlemania coronation, Ambrose always felt like the odd one out, or rather, the least valued among the former Shield members. The question would always be asked as to when Ambrose would get his crowning moment and become a world champion. Many felt that it was unfair that Roman Reigns was getting an immense push despite major fan rejection, while Ambrose who was extremely over with the crowd was stuck in the mid-card, albeit the top of it.

Ambrose faced Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 32 in what was expected to be a career-making performance for Ambrose. Unfortunately, the match fell flat, and Ambrose seemingly lost quite a bit of momentum after that. However, in June, Ambrose won the Money In The Bank briefcase, which he ended up cashing in that same night against Seth Rollins who had just beaten Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Ambrose beat his two former Shield brothers in a triple threat match the next month at Battleground and took the championship to Smackdown Live, where he had been drafted to.

Interestingly enough, it came to light recently that since Wrestlemania 32, Ambrose has only lost one match, which was a match against Chris Jericho at Smackdown. He has been the most protected character since Wrestlemania, which is a surprise because it is so contrary to the way he has been booked the last few years.

Ambrose recently appeared on the Stone Cold Podcast, a WWE Network show. The interview got mixed reactions for various reasons. However, one thing that was not disputed was Ambrose’s honesty in the interview. However, this has apparently led him to have a lot of backstage heat, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The reason for this is due to the fact that he was being negative on creative and being negative on creative means being negative on Triple H and Vince McMahon. Officials also were not happy about Ambrose publicly talking about how Brock Lesnar didn't want to do anything for their match at WrestleMania 32.

There is no news on how or whether this will affect Ambrose’s television push. Ambrose is facing Dolph Ziggler at Summerslam for the WWE World Championship. Will he lose the big match like Roman Reigns did when he received backstage heat?

What do you think about this situation? Do you think Dean Ambrose would be punished by the WWE?
