WWE News: Alberto Del Rio says Vince McMahon would make a better president than Donald Trump
Former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio and his fiancee Paige were recently interviewed by TMZ, and they expressed their opinion on American politics, in particular, about Donald Trump and Linda McMahon. When asked about Linda McMahon being picked by Trump to lead the Small Business Administration, this is what Del Rio had to say:
“Anything is possible. Just look where we are at right now. Donald Trump will be president of the United States this year. If he and she can do a good job, once they’re there, I don't know. But to be honest, I don’t think so.”
Alberto Del Rio also expressed his opinion of Donald Trump by flipping him the middle finger. He went on to say that Vince McMahon would be a much better candidate for President of the United States, in the following manner:
“I think he would do a good job because at least he’s smart.”
When asked if Linda McMahon could run for President of the United States in the future, Del Rio said, “Yeah why not? I already said it. Running for President of the United States is like going to Disneyland. Anything is possible!”
Alberto Del Rio and Paige have been WWE’s most controversial couple recently, after both of them suffered wellness policy violations. While Alberto Del Rio has since parted ways with the company, sources on the internet speculate that Paige is trying to do the same with these controversial videos.
Paige is currently nearing the end of her second wellness policy violation and has not been seen inside a wrestling ring in quite a while.
Real Estate legend Donald Trump is a WWE Hall of Famer with a long association with the McMahon family. He has been part of WWE television on more than one occasion, notably in the Battle of the Billionaires at Wrestlemania 23, where Trump’s candidate Bobby Lashley defeated Umaga.
Those who are familiar with his association with the McMahon family were probably not surprised at Trump picking Linda McMahon to lead the small business administration. Alberto Del Rio’s dislike of Donald Trump probably stems from the fact that the President-elect has been critical of minority groups, in particular, Mexicans.
