WWE News: Delicate real reason Aleister Black has been off NXT revealed
What's the story?
Former NXT Champion Aleister Black had to relinquish the NXT Title after suffering a storyline attack in the parking lot. However, the real reason behind the top star's absence has been revealed by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Aleister Black was due to take on Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa in a huge Triple Threat match at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn but had to give up the title due to an 'injury'.

Since then the WWE has run a mystery attacker angle with a Whodunnit? edge presenting hilarious vignettes of everyone that was nearby in the NXT parking lot when Aleister Black was attacked.
The heart of the matter
The exact nature of Aleister Black's injury hadn't been revealed until now, with Dave Meltzer detailing that Aleister Black had actually undergone surgery four weeks ago, which was the reason why he couldn't compete at NXT TakeOver.
Aleister Black is up to doing squats with 335 four weeks after his testicle surgery
As you can see Black is recovering well and is squatting 335 in weight so seems to be well on the mend and could be returning to NXT television for the next round of tapings.
It's unclear whether the surgery was as a result of an injury picked up during his wrestling, or another reason entirely, but I'm edging towards wrestling. It was first believed that Black had pulled his groin, but it was later revealed to be a 'more serious' injury than that. We now know it required testicular surgery.
What's next?
It seems that when Black is ready to return that he'll be the perfect first opponent to face Tomasso Ciampa for the NXT title in an attempt to get it back. Especially as it looks like Johnny Gargano is moving on to different opponents for a while.
