WWE News: Finn Balor comments on if the Bullet Club reunited on RAW?

What’s the story?

If you watched WWE RAW last night, you'll probably have been one of many people on the edge of their seat when Finn Balor announced his partners for a tag team match against Elias, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel - The Good Brothers, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.

WWE has been teasing a Bullet Club reunion for a while, pardon the pun, never really pulling the trigger on it - but did it finally happen last night?

Well, the man himself has spoken...

In case you didn’t know…

The Bullet Club is probably the biggest faction in the world of pro wrestling right now, being the only non-WWE wrestling stars to have T-shirts being sold in Hot Topic with the likes of Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, Marty Scurll and the Young Bucks leading the current revolution.

However, not so long ago, the faction was led by a certain Prince Devitt, now known as Finn Balor, and his disciples were Karl Anderson, Bad News Fale and Tama Tonga. Later that year they were joined by Luke Gallows.

Ever since The Good Brothers joined WWE, Finn Balor has strongly hinted at a Bullet Club reunion of sorts in WWE, but it has never come to fruition with only a few chance meetings between the three and a Too Sweet with fellow former leader AJ Styles taking place after their immense match at the TLC pay-per-view.

With a potential copyright minefield, Balor has also been using the term "Balor Club" whenever referring to himself, and the term has slightly transformed to mean the section of the WWE Universe behind Balor... Which, contrary to previous rumours, seems to be a huge chunk of it.

One of the original Bullet Club members, Tama Tonga, has also recently posted that the "OGs will reunite" on Twitter. Balor interestingly used the term "OGBC" at the end of his tweet too. He may just be referring to himself and The Good Brothers, but the timing of this is all very interesting.

The heart of the matter

We all know Finn Balor likes to tease and troll fans on Twitter - previously about the Club reuniting, and more recently about the rumours regarding him not being pushed as he's not over.

His ambiguous tweet should really be taken with a pinch of salt, but the fact that WWE even paired these guys up on television is very interesting - particularly when Balor has been in limbo the past month or so, and maybe even since having to relinquish the WWE Universal Championship, never getting the same huge push he got when he debuted on the main roster.

Not to mention that the "too sweet" gesture seemed to be a constant theme, with WWE making the most of it on social media. The trio even won their match and celebrated appropriately afterwards...

Now, we have witnessed the "too sweet" on WWE TV in abundance. The Good Brothers do it every time they make an entrance or wrestle, and most notably, Finn Balor and AJ Styles shared a too sweet after their incredible impromptu match at TLC.

What's next?

Well, we never really know with WWE as plans can change at the drop of a hat, but with all the Twitter activity, it would be surprising if this is a one-off, especially given the reaction of the WWE Universe.

As always, we'll need to wait until next week to see if the trio face off again. It's just unfortunate that the Shield reunion has been derailed by injury as that would be a dream match for many, perhaps worthy of taking place on the biggest stage of them all, WrestleMania.

Author’s take

No matter the circumstances, it's always cool to see these three interact. All three have been misused by WWE recently in many regards, with all three holding belts on the red brand at one point, but somehow never really being put back into a proper storyline since.

With the exception of the Finn Balor v Bray Wyatt feud which the aforementioned AJ Styles match at TLC was actually the culmination of after Bray Wyatt was struck down with a virus.

We know it's very unlikely that the "Bullet Club" moniker will be used - both for copyright reasons and because the faction still exists outside of WWE, but with "Balor Club" already trademarked and selling merchandise, it's not impossible that these three could be in a faction and still wear and sell the merchandise.

Will it happen? All eyes on social media until next Monday night.
