WWE News: Dolph Ziggler responds to claims that he destroyed promising debuts
What’s the story?
Dolph Ziggler responded to a fan’s post on social media after the fan accused Ziggler of having ruined multiple Superstars’ main roster debuts.
The fan asserted that Ziggler destroyed the debuts of several talented performers such as Tyler Breeze, Shinsuke Nakamura and Baron Corbin by making the matches boring.
Not one to be outdone, the Showoff fired back —
In case you didn’t know…
Dolph Ziggler, whose real name is Nicholas Nemeth, has performed for the WWE since 2004.
The 37-year-old reached the pinnacle of the sport, winning the World Heavyweight Championship, but has been relegated to the lower-tier of the WWE food chain as of late.
The heart of the matter
Dolph Ziggler has played a notable role in the WWE as he has been the first Superstar to welcome Breeze, Nakamura and Corbin to the main roster. In reference to the aforementioned fact, a fan levied a rather stinging accusation on Ziggler of ruining their main roster debuts by making the matches boring.
The SmackDown Superstar opted to make light of the situation, reverting back with a witty response by claiming that he’s been phoning it in for years in the WWE.
What’s next?
Dolph Ziggler presently performs for the WWE’s SmackDown brand.
If one is to believe the professional wrestling rumour mill, he is due to get a character redo and be accorded a significant push by the WWE very soon.
Author’s take
Dolph Ziggler is one of the most talented performers in the WWE, and has been extremely loyal to the promotion for a long time now.
I disagree with the fan’s assessment of Dolph phoning it in. In fact, I feel there are very few performers who work as hard and consistent as Ziggler does.
