WWE News: Donovan Dijak arrives at the WWE Performance Center

"Feast Your Eyes" on the latest free agent to appear at the Performance Center, Donovan Dijak...

What's the story?

The official NXT Twitter account announced that a major free agent has reported to the WWE Performance Center in Donovan Dijak. Check out their tweet below:

In case you didn't know...

Dijak won the 2015 Top Prospect Tournament for Ring Of Honor, a tournament that puts eight promising wrestlers in a single-elimination format. Past winners include Mike Bennett (now Mike Kanellis on Smackdown Live), Matt Taven, and Lio Rush.

The heart of the matter

Dijak brings a lot of size and athleticism to NXT. He made his professional wrestling debut in 2013, and now at the age of 30, the WWE will give him the opportunity to have a successful career in NXT and on the main roster.

One has to wonder if they are bringing him in as the muscle for Adam Cole's new group of former Ring Of Honor veterans that also includes Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly. It seems like a perfect fit for his debut, but time will tell.

What's next?

Dijak will continue to perfect his craft at the Performance Center in the upcoming weeks. Once the trainers feel he's ready for the NXT brand, and the creative team has a spot for him on the television show, you'll see him possibly as soon as the next set of television tapings (scheduled for September 13th).

Author's take

I really enjoyed Dijak in Ring Of Honor. Much like a Roman Reigns, he picked up the business very fast and will have every opportunity to succeed and have a great career.

As he has shown while a part of The House Of Truth in ROH, Dijak makes a great heel. Pairing him with Cole, O'Reilly, and Fish is a perfect addition to a group that is already terrorizing William Regal and the NXT roster.
