WWE News: Drew McIntyre gives high credits to top NXT UK star

WWE UK Champion, Pete Dunne is considered as one of the finest superstars' in all of WWE right now. Having held the UK Championship for more than 600 days, Dunne has competed for both NXT and NXT UK and has also made one-off appearances on the main roster as well.
The 'Bruiserweight' has definitely impressed a lot of people and has also caught the eye of a certain Monday Night Raw superstar in Drew McIntyre.
In case you didn't know...
Coming off a huge title defense against Joe Coffey at the first ever NXT UK TakeOver event in Blackpool, Pete Dunne made his second appearance on the WWE main roster when he entered the 30-man Royal Rumble match recently.
In his first ever Rumble appearance, Dunne lasted over 11 minutes and also had a great confrontation with former NXT Champion, Drew McIntyre himself.
The heart of the matter
While speaking with Wrestling Inc recently, former NXT Champion and main roster mainstay, Drew McIntyre had some high praises for current NXT UK Champion, Pete Dunne.
According to 'The Scottish Psychopath', he feels that Dunne is poised for greatness and could achieve a lot of great things in his career. (H/T: SEScoops)
“It’s hard not to say that Pete Dunne’s not the best considering he’s had the title for a number of years. But there’s so many good guys and I’ve worked with the majority of them so I know how good they actually are.”
In addition, McIntyre also had some high praises for the UK style of wrestling.
“Everyone’s very physical in the ring and that’s my favorite style — the British style.”

Drew McIntyre is currently teaming up with Baron Corbin on Monday Night Raw and with WrestleMania 35 just a few short weeks away, it'll be interesting to see in what way WWE is going to book McIntyre for 'Mania 35.
Pete Dunne, meanwhile, is expected to defend his UK Title against new NXT UK signee Walter.
