WWE News: Early betting odds for the Money In The Bank winner
What’s the story?
WWE fans are already placing bets on the Money In The Bank PPV that will take place in a couple of months on June 18th.
Bet Wrestling has revealed the current odds for the main event of the MITB PPV ergo the Money In The Bank match, with Baron Corbin reportedly being considered the favourite to win the match.
In case you didn’t know...
The Money In The Bank ladder match was first contested at Wrestlemania 21 back in 2005 and continued to feature on consecutive Mania cards until Wrestlemania 25 in 2009.
The year 2010 saw WWE promote the match as part of the Money In The Bank PPV that featured two MITB ladder matches, for the RAW and SmackDown brands, each briefcase containing a contract for a shot at either the WWE championship or the World heavyweight championship.
The heart of the matter
As we had previously reported, the WWE is reportedly planning a big push for Baron Corbin, and the company’s plans seem to be taking effect on the MITB match’s odds on several betting websites as well. Here are the odds that list The Lone Wolf as the favourite to win the Money In The Bank briefcase come June 18th.
Baron Corbin +150
Shinsuke Nakamura +200
Kevin Owens + 250
AJ Styles + 400
Sami Zayn +600
Rusev +800
John Cena +1000
Randy Orton +1000
Mojo Rawley +1400
Dolph Ziggler +1700
Big E +2000
Tye Dillinger +2000

What’s next?
This year’s Money In The Bank PPV will take place at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri on June 18th and will be brand-exclusive to SmackDown Live. The winner of the MITB match will get a chance to challenge the WWE champion at a time and place of the former’s choice.
Author’s take
The WWE championship scene has seen a heavy logjam right now, with Randy Orton having to face Bray Wyatt in a House Of Horrors match at Payback on April 30th and then defend his WWE title against Jinder Mahal, if the Viper survives the Eater of Worlds.
In my opinion, the WWE’s plan all along seems to be an Orton-Corbin feud and considering that the oddsmakers seem to be bang on the buck listing The Lone Wolf as the favourite to reign supreme at Money In The Bank. My money’s on Baron Corbin, what about you?
